The aim of this blog is to investigate the crossover between management theory and business practice, which I encounter in my everyday life. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, I work for a Global Swiss Bank in Internal Consulting. Previously I worked for a big 4 consulting firm assisting companies with implementing winning strategies. I’m always interested in new opportunities so please get in touch.
My background is from the investment management industry and latterly in management consulting. On a day to day basis I work on managing complex projects and in particular researching different companies and their business models. I have C-Level experience presenting and reporting directly to the MD and external stakeholders. I have an MBA with merit from the University of Southampton and a BA from the University of Exeter. I am a Project Management Professional (PMP) charter holder and a Prince2 Foundation practitioner. Outside of my work, I volunteer for the charity www.CBSM-kimilili.org which runs a primary, secondary, and special needs school for 800 orphans and vulnerable children in rural Kenya. Finally, I am the Chairman of the Young Professionals of the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce based in Zurich, Switzerland.
I’m always looking to make new contacts and share ideas so please feel free to get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org. I invite you to subscribe to this blog and to connect with me on Twitter @WillellisM. Alternatively, you can meet me at Young Professionals events from the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Zurich. I look forward to meeting you.
